New Delhi: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today met Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Government of India, Shri Kiren Rijiju, in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Hon’ble CEC personally extended an invitation to Shri Kiren Rijiju to attend the upcoming Suru Festival 2025, scheduled to be held on August 26, 2025, as the Chief Guest. Shri Rijiju graciously accepted the invitation. On the occasion, the CEC also met Hon’ble Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

UT level Mock Drill exercise on Earthquake, Cloudburst and GLOF has started today on August 21. At District Emergency Operating Centre Leh, exercise is being carried out to identify the emergency situation, casualties, requirements and other necessary arrangements. mockdrill
