Various delegations call on LG Mishra on last day of his Zanskar tour

Kargil: President, All Zanskar Student Association, Shri Tenzin Tsedup, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC), Padum in Zanskar Wednesday.

Tsedup apprised the LG of various issues, viz. the early recruitment of vacant posts in various government departments; establishment of Ladakh Public Service Commision and granting district status for Zanskar sub-division, etc.

The LG started that the Administration is working to resolve the recruitment-related issues and the vacant posts will be filled on a priority basis.

A delegation of Dental Surgeons called on the LG at TRC Padum. The delegates requested the LG to extend their services and adjust them under National Health Mission (NHM).

The LG directed Director Health Services, Ladakh to examine their case. The Headmaster of Government High School, Tangsoo called on the HLG and requested him to fill up the vacant teaching and non-teaching posts at the school. He also requested to provide central heating system for the school for the ease and convenience of students during the winter months.

The LG assured him to provide all possible assistance in this regard. A delegation comprising Community Information Centre (CIC) operators called on LG at TRC Padum.

The deeksha requested the HLG for enhancement of their salaries. The LG directed Secretary, Rural Development Department, Ladakh, to examine their case.

Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, IAS; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Sonam Dojay, Dy SP, DAR, Kargil, Stanzin were present in the meeting.
