Leh: With an objective to ensure smooth and hassle-free movement of commuters, the traffic police issues advisory ahead of His Holiness Dalai Lama visit on July 15.

As per the advisory, guests and invitees are requested to park their vehicles in the designated parking place at Driving Test Ground Mahabodhi adjacent to Devachan Cremation Ground (34.095443, 77.610563).

“No vehicle shall be allowed from Mahabodhi, Sindhu diversion towards Choglamsar, Chuchot, Spituk & Leh Axis. Similarly, no vehicle shall be allowed from Saboo Crossing towards Choglamsar, Chuchot, Spituk & Kharu Axis,” the advisory reads.

The advisory further reads that all the traffic will be diverted through Mahbodhi Bypass. 4. No Vehicle shall ply on Saboo Crossing-Choglamsar-Jivetsal road (NH-03).

“Vehicles going towards Chuchot side from Leh & Kharu axis will be diverted through Spituk Farka/ Balam Road. Similarly vehicles coming from Manali side towards Chuchot will be diverted through Shashi Crossing,” the advisory reads.

Advisory further reads that the vehicles coming from Manali side towards Leh town will be diverted through Mahabodhi Bypass.

“Only Ambulance & Emergency Vehicles will be allowed to ply through NH-03 Saboo Crossing-Choglamsar-Jivetsal road road,” the advisory reads.

“Army, GREF, CAPF vehicles, convoys will be diverted through Stakna-Chuchot-Spituk Farka Road,” the advisory reads.

The advisory further asked general public is hereby requested to abide by the traffic arrangements made on this auspicious occasion and the traffic arrangements shall be repeated/ in place during the visit/ sermons of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
