Traffic advisory for Zojila, Penzila, Shinkula for May 25, 26

KARGIL: District Police Kargil on Wednesday issued traffic advisory cum movements on Zojila, Penzila and Shinkula axis for May 25 and 26, 2023.

Zojila Axis:
GREEN
One way towards Minamarg.

Penzila Axis:
GREEN
One way towards Panikhar.

Shinkula Axis:
RED
Shinkula axis is blocked due to heavy snow fall.

Traffic Plan/Advisory for 25th May 2023 (Thursday):

Kargil- Srinagar (SSG) Road:
Subject to fair weather and road clearance, One way traffic for all Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) in between 0630hrs to 0730hrs forthwith all Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) of 6/tyres upto 0930hrs shall be allowed from TCP Minamarg towards Sonamarg thereafter no Vehicles shall be allowed towards Zojila axis from TCP Minamarg.

NOTE:
For the road maintenance of Zoji La Axis, there shall be No vehicular movements on 26th May 2023 (Friday) from both side of Sonamarg and Minamarg.

Kargil-Zanskar (Penzila) Road:
Subject to fair weather and road clearance, One way traffic for all vehicles shall be allowed from TCP Panikhar towards Skygam in between 0600hrs to 1130hrs from TCP Panikhar, thereafter No vehicles shall be allowed towards Penzila axis from TCP Panikhar.

Padum Darcha (Shinkula) Road:
Due to bad weather prediction and snow accumalations over Shinkula axis, there shall be no any vehicular movements on Shinkula axis from either side (Kargyek/Darcha) on 25h May 2023 (Thursday) and till the road is cleared by the concerned executive agency.
