Sub District Hospital Drass Organises “Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivar” Campaign to Boost Community Health

Drass, September 22, 2025 – The Sub District Hospital Drass successfully organized a comprehensive health campaign, “Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivar” (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family), aimed at providing essential healthcare services to women and children in the region. The event saw significant participation from local residents and officials.
The campaign was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Councillor Abdul Samad and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vishal Atri, who demonstrated their strong support for community health initiatives. Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Drass, welcomed the distinguished guests and provided a brief introduction, outlining the campaign’s mission to empower families by prioritizing the well-being of women.
The one-day camp offered a wide range of free medical services, making specialized care accessible to the public. Facilities available included:
Hb Testing & NCD Screening: To identify and address health issues early.
Specialty OPDs: Including Gynecology, Paediatric, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry, providing expert consultations.
AMCHI OPD: A unique feature combining traditional healing practices with modern medicine.
Family Planning Counselling: Offering essential guidance and support.
Dental OPD: Providing crucial dental check-ups and care.
Open Mic Awareness Session.
A large number of women and children from the surrounding areas actively participated in the campaign, underscoring the community’s keen interest in health and wellness.
The successful organization of this event highlights the commitment of the Sub District Hospital Drass and the local administration to improving public health outcomes and fostering a healthier, more empowered community.
