Leh: The various short terms course offered by the Skill Development Department (SDD) of Ladakh has received an overwhelming response in the Union Territory.
“Skill Development Department (SDD) of Ladakh is offering various courses and we have received a massive response,” an official told Indus Dispatch.
He added that the Skill Development Department (SDD) of Union Territory offered these courses under the centrally sponsored scheme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
“The duration of courses are three months and being conducted in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) of both Leh and Kargil districts of the Union Territory.
The courses being offered in Ladakh are Plumber, Assistant Fashion Designer, Tailor, Automotive service Technician and Junior Software Developer.
“53 trainers from Leh and Kargil districts of the Union Territory participated in online trainers of Training programme on employability, Entrepreneurship & Life Skills conducted by National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Bussiness (NIESBUD), MSDE. GoI in collab with commonwealth Educational Media Center for Asia (CEMA),” he said.
More than 600 youth participated in Kaushal Mela or Skill Development workshop held in Ladakh. Experts from sector skill councils, Directorate General of Trainings, NIESBUD participated in the workshop.
