Leh: The administration has designated an official and asked concerned authorities to make necessary arraignments for the visit of the Parliamentary committee arriving on June 20.
“The parliamentary committee will commence Ladakh visit on June 20 and wind up their tour on June 24,” an official told Indus Dispatch.
“It is hereby ordered that K Mehboob Ali Khan, IRS, Administrative Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department will be the overall coordinator in Leh district on behalf of the UT Administration of Ladakh for the conduct of smooth and hassle-free visit of the Committee and responsible for liaison with the concerned ministries and Lok Sabha Secretariat,” reads the order issued by Secretary, General Administration Department, Ajeet Sahu.
“The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology; Culture; Defence, NIELIT and CIBS and JIMWS Pahalgam have been designated as the Nodal organization by the Lok Sabha Secretariat,” the order reveals.
He added that the necessary arrangement including boarding, lodging, and transport will be made by the nodal organization in coordination with other participating organizations at Leh. “Additional Director General of Police, Ladakh will ensure proper security arrangement at all venues & deployment of security with the delegates as per their security categories,” he said.
“A nodal officer will be deputed for coordination with the Police Department. Deputy Commissioner, Leh / Kargil shall provide required assistance to the Information Technology Department Ladakh for smooth conduct of the visit in their respective jurisdiction,” the order reads.
As per the order, the director Health and Medical Education will provide necessary medical support with the committee.
