NHM Ladakh organizes Blood Donation Drive in Leh

Leh: National Health Mission (NHM) UT Ladakh under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, organised a mega blood donation drive ‘Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav’ today at SNM Hospital Leh. A similar blood donation camp was held at national level as well.

Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was the chief guest on the occasion.

Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk; Councillor Thinles Nurboo; Mission Director, National Health Mission, Dr Iftikhar Chowdhary; Chief Medical Officer, Leh; Medical Superintendent, SNM Hospital Leh; other public representatives and Health Department staff, blood donors were present on the occasion.

MP Ladakh extended gratitude to blood donors for their timely intervention to save lives. He further appreciated the Health and Medical Education Department for their best services in every nook and corner of Ladakh.

Dy Chairman LAHDC Leh also appreciated blood donors for their selfless service to save lives of humans.

Earlier, MS Leh, Dr Tsewang Chorol while welcoming the guests and blood donors informed that the registrations for the Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav have begun on the E-Raktkosh portal and Aarogya Setu app and the blood donation drive would continue till October 1, 2022.

The State Nodal Officer, Dr Yangchan thanked the Chief guest, other guests, participants and blood donors for their support and cooperation to make the mega blood donation camp a successful one.

Chief guest distributed appreciation certificates to the blood donors and the participants of blood donation drive who registered themselves on eraktkosh.in or Aarogya Setu App.
