Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffar Akhoon was called on by the team of Mahabodhi Karuna Charitable Hospital to dedicate 823 spectacle glasses to the school children of Kargil Monday.
The event was attended by Executive Councillor Rural Development Department. Er. Phunsok Tashi, Councillor Shargole Mohd Jawad, Chief Medical Officer Kargil Dr Liaqat Ali Khan, Director Mahabodhi Hospital Dr Yangchan Dolma, Administrator Mahabodhi Hospital Amanullah and Administrative Officer Mahabodhi Hospital Samina Malik.
During the event Dr Yangchan Dolma informed that the 823 spectacles have been dedicated to the children of Kargil, and the screening of the children was done last year during a medical camp held at Kargil.
She further added that in the month of July 2025, health screening camps by the Mahabodhi Hospital will be organised in Shargole and Zanskar.
CEC Dr Jaffar applauded Mahbodhi Hospital for this gracious act and added that the way the hospital has served the Humanity through their healthcare services without any difference of class, creed and community is appreciable.
Dr Jaffar requested to continue their dedicated services in the field of health services on missionary spirit and congratulated the team of Mahabodhi Hospital for their relentless services in service of humanity.
