Kargil, September 20, 2025 — The District Health Society Kargil held a medical camp in Trespone as part of the nationwide campaign, “Swasth Naari, Sashakt Parivar” (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family). The camp saw a large turnout of beneficiaries from Trespone and neighboring villages.
The event’s main goal was to promote women’s health and well-being. Expert doctors were on hand to offer medical consultations, health check-ups, and educational sessions on the campaign’s goals and benefits. Many women from the surrounding areas attended and expressed their appreciation for the Health Department’s initiative, noting its focus on creating healthier families by empowering women.
The medical camps offer a wide range of services and facilities, including Ayushman Card and ABHA registration, which helps ensure that all eligible citizens have access to healthcare benefits. There were anemia screenings also to tackle the widespread issue of anemia among women and children, as well as antenatal check-ups for expecting mothers.
Additionally, essential healthcare services are provided, including check-ups for childhood illnesses and the distribution of essential supplements like IFA (Iron-Folic Acid), Calcium, and Albendazole tablets.
