Manali-Leh highway thrown open in record time
Leh: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) opened the vital Manali-Leh National Highway for a record time this year on 25th March, thus paving the way for local commuters, businesses, and tourists traveling by road.
“Heartiest congratulations to the people of Ladakh on the early opening of the Leh-Manali National highway this year,” BRO in a statement expressed.
The hard work, dedication, and tireless efforts of the Karamyogis of the Border Roads Organisation including both the Chief Engineers of Project Himank and Project Deepak have ensured the smooth and timely opening of this important and strategic axis connecting Ladakh with the rest of the country.
The early opening of the highway will not only facilitate the movement of goods and people but also contribute to the overall economic development of the region.
“Your unwavering commitment to excellence and your efforts in adverse weather conditions have been truly remarkable. Jai Hind!,” Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson said.
The national highway serves as a lifeline for the locals of Ladakh and the opening of the strategic road against inclement weather odds is a testimony to the dedication and hard work of the Karmyogis of Project Himank and Project Deepak who toiled day and night to clear snow in this axis in record time.
