Leh: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) chaired a meeting at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat to discuss the Construction of Eklavya Model Residential School at Kargil by the Department of Social and Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh.
Advisor to the LG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Commissioner/Secretary to the LG, Dr L Franklin, IAS and Director, Social and Tribal Welfare Department, UT Ladakh, Tashi Dolma, JKAS, were present in the meeting.
Architect Javed informed the LG that necessary changes, as suggested by the LG during the previous meeting held on September 16, 2024, to discuss the same topic, have been incorporated for the construction of the Eklavya Model Residential School at Kargil.
He informed the LG that the area of around 100 kanals demarcated for the Residential School has been divided into four zones: residential, sports, academic and common space and explained about these zones in detail.
The LG asked the architect and concerned officials to make the necessary changes in the design for the ease and convenience of students and faculty members of the Eklavya Model Residential School.
