Leh pays tribute, homage to HE Chosje Togdan Rinpoche

LEG: LAHDC Leh conducted a prayer meeting at the Council Secretariat to pay tribute and homage to His Eminence, Late Ladakh Chosje Togdan Rinpoche Konchok Thupstan Stanpey Gyaltsan Pal Zangpo, who attained Mahaparinirvana.

The prayed meeting was presided over by Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson in the presence of H.E. Tsamtrul Rinpoche and MP, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal.

It was attended by the Executive Councillor RDD Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs Ghulam Mehdi; Executive Councillor for Agriculture Stanzin Chosphel; Councillors and Nominated Councillors; DC Leh Shrikant Suse; BDC Chairpersons and all the Head of the Departments of Leh District.

As a mark of respect to the departed soul of the Rinpoche, a two- minute silence was observed. Nominated Councillor Konchok Tsephel spoke about the Rinpoche’s contribution as a spiritual leader and as a minister.

He also spoke about his contribution in preserving of Ladakhi culture and heritage on a wider scale.
