Ladakh Tourism Department participates in ITB Berlin 2023

Leh: The Tourism Department, UT Ladakh is participating for the first time in the 3-day International Tourism promotional event ITB Berlin at Berlin, Germany, which commenced at Messe Berlin Tuesday.

Since 1966 ITB Berlin has been a leading platform for the tourism industry and also the leading trade show for the global travel industry. 

ITB Berlin is the central communication and marketing forum and the largest service trade show for the travel industry.

The delegation of UT Ladakh includes Officials of the Tourism department and representatives of Travel Trade Associations / Hoteliers of Ladakh. UT Ladakh is participating under the banner of ‘Incredible India’ pavilion of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

 This is an important platform to showcase Ladakh as a unique & challenging tourist destination in the world. 

The Ladakh pavilion was inaugurated by His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Germany, Parvathaneni Harish; Secretary to GoI, Ministry of Tourism, Arvind Singh; and Economic Advisor, MoT, Gyan Bhushan in the presence of Director (Tourism), Ladakh, Kunzes Angmo; Assistant Director (Tourism), Aga Tawha and Stakeholders from Ladakh.

While interacting with the officials of the Tourism Department and the Stakeholders from Ladakh, the Ambassador and the Secretary to GoI, Tourism Ministry appreciated the efforts of the Tourism department, UT Ladakh for promoting Ladakh as a unique & challenging tourist destination at the international level. 

The Ladakh Pavilion on the first day received overwhelming response from visitors, who inquired about different tourist locations & culture and expressed their keen interest to visit Ladakh in near future.

Promotional films on various themes were screened before the visitors, who were mesmerized by the unique culture, landscape, and natural beauty of Ladakh.

The Tourism Department, UT Ladakh is making all efforts to give the tourism stakeholders an opportunity to conduct B2B, B2C, B2G interactions, which will help in establishing fruitful business relationships and also spread information about hitherto unknown tourist destinations within the Union Territory.
