Leh: The Union Territory of Ladakh is all set to monetise potential of Donkey milk for the making beauty products.
“Donkey milk is widely used for making beauty as well as skincare products. This will help administration to enhance revenue generation,” an official told Indus Dispatch.
In this regard, a delegation led by director, Organiko-Beautifying Life, Pooja Kaul, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
She briefed about the venture that makes a variety of skincare products from donkey milk. She apprised about their proposed project called The World of Donkeys by Organiko in Leh and the proposed establishment of India’s first-ever Donkey Conservation Park at Chuchot Yokma in Leh.
She informed that young women from Leh are a part of this initiative. She informed about the health benefits of donkey milk and the high price at which it is sold in the market.
Director Organiko requested for guidance and assistance in setting up the Donkey Conservation Park.
Another delegation led by Vice-President, Primus Partners, Pooja Lahri, met Hon’ble LG Mathur to submit a report titled ‘Ladakh: Unleashing Potential’ prepared by them in collaboration with ASSOCHAM.
