Leh: The administration of Ladakh is all set to hold a two-day workshop to spread awareness about the flagship digital services of India- Digilocker and UMANG
As per the order issued by Commissioner, Secretary General Administration Department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, the workshop will be organised in collaboration with Government of India with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MoEIT) on June 18 and 19th.
He said that the workshop is aimed to empower citizens through the provision of authentic digital documents to their digital wallets.
Digital India’s flagship programme, DigiLocker and UMANG, is a key initiative aimed at transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
Accordingly, Directors/HoDs, Sectoral Officers, Police Officers (DIGs, SSP/SPs & DSPs), Registrar & Director Academics/Controllers of Exam of Ladakh University, Principals of Polytechnic & Heads of ITIs of UT of Ladakh shall participate/attend in the said workshop.
The concerned Administrative Secretary would be issuing the order mentioning the name of an officer from above-mentioned category.
All concerned nominated officers shall mandatorily ensure their presence in the workshop.
