Leh: The administration of Ladakh on Thursday honoured the hardwork of nurses to observe International Nurse Day 2022.
The International Nurses Day was chosen to celebrate Florence Nightingale’s birth anniversary and her pioneering work in nursing and social reforms.
During the Crimean War (1854-1856), she volunteered to be appointed as a nurse to serve wounded soldiers
The theme of International Nurses Day2022 is Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in Nursing and respect rights to secure global health.
The administration of Kargil appreciated the hard work and dedication of the nursing community on the occasion.
“On this day, we salute the nurses from Ladakh for their selfless service for the people of Ladakh,” the administration of Leh tweeted.
