Ladakh LG Mishra greets Buddhist community on Buddha Purnima
LEH: Ladakh union territory Lt Governor BD Mishra Friday extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima.
The LG said that this day holds great significance as it marks the Birth, Enlightenment and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha.
let us remember the teachings of Lord Buddha that emphasises on compassion, kindness and non-violence, the LG asserted.
“On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all my dear Ladakhis, particularly my Buddhist brothers and sisters in Ladakh and beyond as well,” LG Mishra said in a message.
He said that this day holds great significance as it marks the Birth, Enlightenment and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha. As we celebrate this occasion, let us remember the teachings of Lord Buddha that emphasises on compassion, kindness and non-violence.
