Kargil/Leh: Across the union territory of Ladakh, celebrations were held with patriotic zeal and zest across the cold desert marking 75th Republic Day.

Nyoma: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated the other day on January 26 at Nyoma sub division. The National Flag was unfurled by Incharge Sub Divisional Magistrate Nyoma Mushtaq Ahmad Kalam.
All HODs/Employees and villagers were present during the function. Similarly, Republic Day was also celebrated at Korzok and Chumathang.

Drass: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated in Drass Sub Division with enthusiasm. SDM Drass, Vishal Atri who was the chief guest unfurled the National Flag while the national anthem was played in the background.

The chief guest inspected the parade and took a salute at the march past presented by the contingents of various schools. The event was attended by all the officers and officials of the Sub Division, Councilor Drass, and Councillor Bhimbet, besides a huge public gathering.

While addressing the gathering the chief guest greeted the public on the 75th Republic Day and reiterated the tireless efforts made by the national leaders for the sake of freedom and enforcement of constitution for best and exemplary governance.

The SDM enumerated the major developmental works that took place in Sub Division Drass such as Zojila Tunnel. He also appreciated the efforts and endeavours of all line departments for providing best quality service to the public.

Thereafter, patriotic and folk songs were presented by the children of different schools that enthralled the audiences.

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes, trophies and appreciation certificate among the participants, best employees and position holders of the Sub Division.

In a display of unwavering patriotism, all six Akashwani stations in Kargil, celebrated the 75th Republic Day with fervour and zeal.

The commemorative event saw Programme Head Subhash Khanna unfurling the National Flag at All India Radio Baroo Kargil, taking the salute in the presence of officials, families, and children from the Bal Ashram Kargil.

The Chief Guest, delivering an inspiring address, extended wishes for a day filled with pride, honor, and patriotism. Emphasizing the collective responsibility for nation-building, he urged every citizen and government servant to contribute their full potential, making the dream of a developed Bharat a reality.

At various Akashwani stations, the National Flag was unfurled by distinguished individuals. Pankaj Bunker at HPT 200Kw Kurbathang SEA, Vishal Gupta EA at Humbotingla, Asgar Ali, technician at Drass, Mehboob Wazir, Sr Technician at Tai Suru, and Nissar Ali, technician at Padum, all participated in the flag hoisting ceremonies, symbolizing unity and national pride.

The celebrations underscored the importance of Republic Day as a significant milestone in India’s history, marking the adoption of the Constitution and the country’s transition to a sovereign republic.

The vibrant events echoed a call to duty for every citizen, emphasizing their role in the ongoing journey of nation-building.

Zanskar: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor in Zanskar Sub Division.

SDM Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk, who was the chief guest, unfurled the National Flag and inspected the parade and took a salute at the march past presented by the contingents of Ladakh Police, Ex-Serviceman Ladakh Scout, NCC and various schools.

The event was attended by Padma Shri awardee Tsultrim Chonjor as guest of honour, Councillor Lungnak, Stanzin Lakpa, all the religious heads and the officers and officials of the Sub Division, besides a huge public gathering.

He also appreciated all line departments’ efforts and endeavors to provide the best quality service to the public.

Liker: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at the SDM Liker. SDM Liker, Dr. Sarwar Shahzad unfurled the National flag.

March past and cultural programs were presented by students from various schools, highlighting the discipline and cultural diversity of the region.

Colonel Rakesh c/o 56 APO Nimoo, Head Lama of Liker monastery, BMO Saspol, SHO Khaltse, Nambardar of Hemis shukpachan and Liker, along with the staff of SDM Office, PHE, PW(R&B), BDO Saspol and villagers graced the occasion.

Awards were presented to Alchi Dukling Tsogspa and Thundel Gonyul Tsogspa for outstanding social work.

The March Past Parade winners were Alchi Institute securing the 1st place, followed by High School Liker in 2nd place, and High School Hemisshukpachan in 3rd place.

Khaltse: The 75th Republic Day was also celebrated at New Stadium of Sub-Division Khaltse on January 26.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse, Suhail Ahmad unfurled the National Flag. National Anthem song was presented by Govt. Higher Sec. School Khaltse and Guard of honour presented by Ladakh Police Khaltse.

Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khaltse, Suhail Ahmad spoke about the Constitution of India and father of Indian Constitution Dr. BR Ambedkar.

Assistant Sub-Inspector, Mohd Aslam was the Parade Commander. On the occasion, Munsif Judge, Khaltse, Wangyal Tsering was also present as a guest during the event.

Government Higher Secondary School Skurbuchan, Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse, Government High School Wanla and band party from Govt. Hr. Sec. School Khaltse were part of the marching contingent.

The cultural program was showcased by the artist groups from Khaltse and Domkhar Dho village. Also, school students performed during the event.

At the end of the program, SDM Khaltse distributed prizes to the participants. Station House Officer Khaltse, Feroz Ahmad; Officers/Officials of various departments of Sub-Division Khaltse, Nambardars and villagers of sub division were present during the event.

Nubra: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm at Sub Divisional Magistrate Complex, Diskit Nubra.

Incharge SDM Nubra, Waseem Ramzan unfurled the National Flag and presided over the parade.
The marching contingents are Ladakh Police and Higher Secondary School Diskit, Boys Middle School, Lamdon Model School and Girls Middle School Diskit.

While addressing the gathering SDM Nubra highlighted the importance of the day. Similarly, the Republic Day was also celebrated at Tehsil Sumur Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Sonam Stobdan unfurled the National Flag at Tehsil Sumur.

At Panamik Block, Block Development Officer, Tsering Namgail unfurled the National flag ,at Niabath Turtuk.

Besides, Niab Tehsildar, Ali Mussa unfurled National Flag and at Niabth Khalsar while Girdawar Qanungo Diskit, Habibula unfurled the National flag at Khalsar.

Additionally, 75th Republic Day was also celebrated at Kharu sub division where SDM Kharu ,Gurmet Namgyal unfurled the National flag.

Like other parts of the district the 75th Republic Day was celebrated at Government Higher Secondary School Chuchot Shamma (new complex). Naib- Tehsildar Atta Ullah Khan unfurled the National flag.
Chiktan: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Chiktan Kargil where SDM Chiktan, Abdul Gaffar Zargar unfurled the tricolour at Polo Ground, Shagaran Chiktan.

Councillor Kacho Liyaqat Ali Khan, Sub-Division officers, officials, a huge gathering of villagers, students beside others were present. The march past was presented by students from different schools followed by engaging cultural programs.

SDM Zargar highlighted past achievements and outlined plans, emphasizing the importance of unity for Shakar Chiktan’s continued development.

He encouraged everyone to contribute towards the community’s progress. The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where participants were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions to society.

Awards were presented to individuals who have made an impact in various fields, reinforcing the spirit of collective progress and community engagement.

Kargil: Executive Councillor, Tourism & Revenue, LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Feroz Ahmed, unfurled the tricolor at Council Secretariat, Kurbathang, Kargil on the 75th Republic Day.

Director Tourism Kunzes Angmo, Director Horticulture & Floriculture, Tsewang Phunchok besides officials of various departments at the Council Secretariat and Ladakh Police were present.

On the occasion, EC Feroz congratulated the participants and people on the 75th Republic Day. He advised the officers to uphold the spirit of democracy and dedicatedly work for the welfare of the public and society. He reiterated that LAHDC Kargil will always hold the democratic values of the country in high spirits.

The celebration of the 75th Republic Day of India commenced in the morning with much gaiety and patriotic fervour at Council Secretariat, Kargil.

Kargil: The 75th Republic day was celebrated today at the District Court Complex Kargil. Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil, Malik Shabir Ahmad unfurled the National Flag, which was followed by the National Anthem.

On this occasion Fariqa Nazir Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, Shafiq Mushtaq Lone Munsiff/JMIC Sankoo, Ld. APP Kargil, President Bar Association Kargil, Bar Members and Court Staff along with officers from the District Administration, Para Legal Volunteers and Litigants were also present.

A smartly dressed contingent of District Police Kargil presented guard of honour. At the event, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil distributed sweets among the participants after the function.
