Leh: Principal Secretary, Information Technology-cum-Registrar UID, UT Ladakh, Sanjeev Khiriwar (IAS) chaired a meeting to review the status of Aadhaar enrolment and Aadhaar related services in the UT of Ladakh.
DDG, UIDAI, Bhawna Garg (IAS), apprised him about the Aadhaar saturation figures in Ladakh in various age groups, up to 5 years & above up to 18 years and 18 years & above, Aadhaar generation, Aadhar saturation, and deployment of Aadhaar kit in UT Ladakh. DDG also informed the meeting about the initiatives being taken by UIDAI to cover age-group from 0-5 years and 5-18 years.
Principal Secretary IT asked the Department of School Education to make all kits fully functional and issue daily targets to each of the operators.
He instructed the Department of Education to start Aadhaar enrolment camps in every school of UT Ladakh to cover mandatory biometric updates.
He also instructed ICDS to make all Aadhaar enrolment kits functional and ensure maximum coverage of Aadhaar.
