Leh: To commemorate 23rd year of Kargil Vijay Diwas and to pay tribute to brave Soldiers who made supreme sacrifice for the motherland, a Kargil Vijay Flame was kindled at started from Northern Command Head Quarters in Udhampur on June 17.
After being traversed through the Kashmir by complete a journey of 400Km in approximately 30 days, the flame has now reached Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Leh.

Chief of Staff, Fire and Fury Corps welcomed the flame bearing team. A large number of Army personnel, students and locals also gathered at LSRC to welcome the victory flame.
The relay will move from Leh to Drass on its final relay via Kargil. The country is celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July in Drass.
