Kargil: A complete bandh was observed in Kargil on Wednesday in response to the call given by the president Jamiat Ul Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil, Shiekh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi strongly condemning the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
All shops and business establishments remained closed as a solidarity with the victims of the heinous act.
The shutdown was peaceful and received wide public support across the district.
President of Jamiat Ul Ulama, Shiekh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, appealed to the people to observe the bandh as a united stand against terrorism.
He emphasized that such attacks are a threat to humanity and must be condemned by all, regardless of region or religion.
He further stated, “Terrorism, whether in Kashmir or anywhere else in the world, is a menace that primarily targets innocent lives. It is the responsibility of all peace-loving people and the international community to come together and reject such acts of violence.”
Jamiat Ul Ulama reiterated its firm stance against terrorism and called for justice for the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
