ITI Leh organises National Apprenticeship Mela

Leh: Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson accompanied by Executive Councillor for ITI, Stanzin Chosphel, and DC Leh Shrikant Suse, attended the Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Mela, fair organised at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Leh in collaboration with NIELIT Leh Monday.

Director NIELIT, Superintendent ITI, and many other officials and participants participated in the fair.

Several local businesses and organizations have been invited to be a part of this apprenticeship mela to provide relevant apprenticeship training opportunities to local youth making it an excellent platform to promote and encourage the spirit of apprenticeship and innovation among the youth.

Speaking on the occasion, CEC Tashi Gyalson stated that Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Mela is an excellent initiative and platform to promote skill development and entrepreneurship among the youth of the country. He added that it provides a platform for young people to explore different vocational courses, apprenticeships, and job opportunities.

The CEC expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for his vision to boost career opportunities for India’s youth through these initiatives under the Skill India Mission and hoped that youths of Ladakh would get opportunities for work-based learning and exposure.

EC Chosphel stated that the fair is a great opportunity for the youth of Leh to learn about the different employment and entrepreneurial opportunities available across various sectors.

It will not only boost their skills and confidence but also enable them to contribute to the growth and development of the region.

The Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Mela is a flagship program that aims to provide opportunities for skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship to the youth of the country.

The fair showcases the different vocational courses, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities available across various sectors, including healthcare, tourism, agriculture, and IT.
