NEW DELHI: A delegation of the International Tipitaka Chanting Council-ITCC – India, led by Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, President ITCC-India, Adv. Sulekha Kumbhare (Former Minister of Maharashtra and member of ITCC) Ranjan Kumar, Secretary, Light of Buddhadharma Foundation LBDF, India branch and Anil Kumar Jain, Director, MIMC Delhi had the distinct honor of meeting Gajendra Singh Shekhawat union Minister of Tourism & Culture, Government of India, at Sansad Bhawan, New Delhi.
Bhikkhu Sanghasena explained the history of the ITCC and great contribution of His Eminent Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche and Sister Wangmo Dixit the founder of LBDF. Members of ITCC requested the ministry of culture and tourism, government of India to be collaborator of the historic auspicious 20th ITCC to be held at the most sacred land of Buddha Gaya, 2025-26.
Invitation to the honourable minister to grace the opening ceremony of 20th ITCC on the 2th of December. Minister appreciated the great service rendered by Sister Wangmo Dixit and LBDF and assured his full support to ITCC and graciously agreed to join the inaugural ceremony personally.
