Leh: Incessant rains has triggered flood like situation in several villages of Drass and prompting authorities to shift villagers to safer places.
“Flood like conditions in most villages of Drass due to incessant rainfall, residents of some villages shifted, vehicle are stucked up in National Highway ,”a report said.
As per the reports, the resident of village Youlboo shifted to adjacent villages. Other villages affected are Frow, Lamuchn, Gindiyal, Bearess, Taisar and Sukityal
Reports also claimed that about huge damage of standing Crops, trees & pastures due to heavy rainfall
Moreover, Kargil-Srinagar NHW is blocked near Pandrass due to landslide and restoration is under process.
