Leh: The first time Ice Hockey coaching on basic techniques for children of Sub-Division Khaltse held at Ice Hockey rink Khaltse on January 14.
The coaching was organised by Councillor, Khaltse, Lobzang Sherab and villagers.
Coaches, Padma Angmo Alchi, Tsewang Phuntsog Saspol and Skarma Tsultim Thiksay were chief guests, whereas Councillor Khaltse, Lobzang Sherab was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The coaches were welcomed with traditional khataks by Women Alliance Khaltse members.
Councillor Sherab expressed heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to all the coaches for sharing their expertise in the Ice hockey Skating basic technique for children. He also advised the children for more and more participation in such courses.
He said that such coaching are opportunity to improve sports skills as games are essential part of life for the overall development of a child.
The coaches showed demonstrations and taught the basic technique of Ice Hockey skating to the participants.
The Nambardar and Women Alliance Khaltse President also spoke on the occasion and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for conducting such a type of game coaching at Khaltse.
Venerable monk, Padma Thinles; Nambardar, Stanzin Phurboo; Women Alliance President Khaltse, Tsering Tsomo; Women Alliance members of Khaltse, villagers and number of students were present during the occasion. Similarly, volleyball tournament will be starting from January 22, 2024 at Khaltse.
