HE Chosje Togdan Rinpoche passes away, Ladakh condoles demise
LEH: H.E. Ladakh Chosrjay, Skyabje Tokdan Rinpoche spiritual leader of the Drikung Kagyu lineage in Ladakh passed away last night.
Entire Ladakh union territory condoled the sudden and sad demise of spiritual leader.
Ladakh LG BD Mishra condoled his death and said, “I am personally highly aggrieved to have heard of the mahaparinirvana of HE Chosje Togdan Rinpoche, the spiritual leader of the Drikung Kagyu lineage in Ladakh. His departure from this earthly abode is an irreparable loss for the Buddhist community of Ladakh and across the globe.”
His contributions as the Minister of State for Ladakh Affairs and Planning for the benefit of the people of Ladakh will be remembered for ages. Let us all pray for his quick reincarnation so that he continues to guide us and show us the path to salvation.
Bhikkhu Sanghasena while condoling his demise said, “It is with great sorrow that we receive the news of the passing of H.E. Ladakh Chosrjay, Skyabje Tokdan Rinpoche Terton Rigched Dorje, Konchog Tenzin Thupthen Tenpei Gyaltsen last night. This profound loss not only deeply affects the people of Ladakh but also reverberates throughout the entire Buddhist community.”
Rinpoche was an exceptional beacon of Buddhism in Ladakh, and his personal spiritual journey and dedicated service to the Buddhasasana and the people of Ladakh will forever serve as an inspiration for future generations.
He said that he is deeply grateful to Rinpoche, as he has been an immense source of inspiration and unwavering support to both me and my organization, Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre – MIMC, throughout my journey filled with highs and lows. We consider ourselves truly blessed to have received Rinpoche’s profound blessings and invaluable guidance, which have illuminated our path and enriched our lives.
“I offer my prayer for the swift reincarnation of Rinpoche for the benefit of all sentient beings. With utmost respect and heartfelt reverence, I humbly bow down and express my deepest gratitude at the lotus feet of Rinpocheji,” he said.
Ladakh Buddhist Association, Nubra Unit condoled the sad demise of HE stating, “We are saddened by the profound loss of His Eminence Chosje Tokdan Rinpochey, a very prominent religious and political leader of Ladakh.”
In a statement LBA stated It is a huge loss to the whole Ladakh as he devoted his entire life for the strengthening of spiritual as well as political development of Ladakh.
On behalf of the Buddhist community of Nubra Valley, all the executive members of LBA Nubra wing, express deep sorrow and grief on this great loss to Ladakh and convey our heartfelt condolence to the monks and people of Drigung Kargyud lineage Ladakh and the family members of H.E Tokdan Rinpochey for this immensely loss.
May almighty give strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss. May his supreme reincarnation will manifest without delay and hindrance for the benefit of all sentient beings.
