Leh: The Member of Parliament, Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal hoisted National Flag at his residence in Leh to mark Celebrations of  Har Ghar Tiranga on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Indian 75 Independence.

It is pertinent to mention here that the administration of Ladakh has directed all the employees stationed in the Union Territory to attend the function to mark Independence Day celebrations as an official duty.

“All the officers/officials of the Government and Public Sector Undertakings stationed at Leh and Kargil districts are enjoined upon to attend the function as a part of their official duty,” reads the circular issued by Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu.

The circular further informed that the main function of Independence Day 2022 will be held at “Polo Ground”, Leh District where the Lieutenant Governor will preside over the function and take the salute and in Kargil district the function shall be held at “Khree Sultan Chow Stadium” and Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil will preside over the function an take the salute.

“All Administrative Secretaries, Heads of the Departments, Managing Directors of the PSUs are advised to ensure that all officers/officials working under their administrative control and stationed at Leh /Kargil, attend the function at their respective places,”  the circular reads.

The circular further directed that Sub Divisional Magistrates/ Tehsildars/Block Development Officers will preside over the function at their respective sub-divisions/tehsils/blocks in Union territory of Ladakh.
