
Gyalson flags off Ladakh Team for 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship
LEH: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson flagged off the senior women’s team of Ladakh to participate in the 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship to be held from 12th November onwards.
Team Ladakh will start their journey from 15th November at Amritsar. Interacting with the women’s football team, CEC Tashi Gyalson expressed happiness over their participation at the nationals and further wished them best for the championship.
He stated that Ladakhi youths are now getting adequate platforms to showcase their talents and this has only been possible since Ladakh became a Union Territory.
The CEC also spoke of the initiatives undertaken by the Hill Council, Leh, and the Ladakh Administration in ensuring good facilities and equipment for the sportsperson and further assured continued assistance in the future as well.
The players expressed their gratitude to the Chairman, LAHDC Leh for his unwavering support over the years to the team and also thanked him for sanctioning a dedicated practice turf for the women’s team in Leh which would be completed soon.
Officials of Ladakh Football Association led by General Secretary, Tsering Angmo, and the entire senior women’s team were present during the occasion.
