Leh: Asserting that the FM radios can play vital role in spreading useful information among masses, the Lieutenant Governor R K Mathur said that lot of content may be generated in Ladakhi
As per official handout, Chief Operation Officer (COO), Red FM, Nisha Narayanan called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas today.
COO Red FM Nisha briefed about the 19-year-old company that is broadcasting FM radio services in around 68 towns across the country.
She informed that Red FM is focused on highlighting development and social issues other than entertaining the listeners. She also apprised about various events organised by them to mobilise the local community.
COO Red FM Nisha also informed about the plan to promote Ladakhi content and the folk songs and music from the region through its FM radio services.
She informed that the transmitter tower is stationed at Stok and also shared the plan to engage more local manpower in the future.
LG Mathur advised that a lot of content may be generated in Ladakhi. He stated that FM radio can be a medium to share useful information and also citizens’ concerns, especially in case of emergencies.
