
Feroz Khan discusses implementation, feasibility aspects of additional plan for Samagra Shiksha
Kargil: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan Friday chaired a meeting at Conference Hall, Council Secretariat to discuss the implementation and other feasibility aspects of the additional plan for Samagra Shiksha in the district.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, EC Social Welfare Aga Syed Mehdi Fazili, EC Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, Er. Punchok Tashi, Director School Education, Ladakh, Tsering Paldan, Deputy Secretary School Education Government of India, Charanjeet Tanaija, Consultant Ministry of Education, Shekel Ahmed Qureshi, Consultant MOE, Abdul Momin, Consultant MOE, Atiq-UR-Rehman and other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
Deputy Secretary School Education Government of India along with other members also visited various schools of the district in order to take first-hand appraisal of the status of education and infrastructure of various government schools.
Expressing satisfaction the Deputy Secretary appreciated the overall scenario of education in the district and said there is further scope of development.
He assured that all the suggestions during the discussion have been noted and will be taken up with Ministry. He also assured that the suggestions will be implemented and will be visible on ground.
Detailed discussions and deliberation were held to discuss the implementation and other feasibility aspects of the additional plan for Samagra Shiksha in the district.
During the discussion, suggestions were forwarded to reflect in the additional plan which includes proper guidelines for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus, engagement of Hindi teachers, additional buses for far-flung schools, provision of salaries for bus drivers, fuel and maintenance of buses, training and exposure tours for teachers in DIET Kargil, upgradation of schools along with the post creation and other related suggestion for inclusion in plan were discussed.
The CEC thanked the team for their visit to Kargil to assess the ground reality of school infrastructure and education standards in the district.
He said LAHDC is committed to upgrading education along with infrastructure and other facilities in schools in the district. He said Council Model Schools under the initiative of LAHDC Kargil have turned into model schools in the district.
Khan also said that for the past few years, the enrolment in government schools has increased along with the satisfying examination result which is quite satisfying.
He also said that community participation has played a pivotal role in the overall development of government school education in the district and it should continue further.
While expressing optimism, the CEC said the suggestions discussed in the meeting will be reflected on the ground for betterment of education in government schools in the district.
