Leh|: Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Shri Tsering Angchuk, visited the affected areas of Domkhar Gogma where landslides and rockfalls had blocked road connectivity, communication, and electricity. He was accompanied by Hon’ble Councillor Lamayuru, Dr. Dorjey Morup, and officials of the concerned departments.
The Deputy Chairman directed the officers of PDD, PWD Khaltse, PMGSY, and BSNL to ensure early restoration of road connectivity, power supply, and telecommunications. The PDD team has already started restoration works on a priority basis.
It was informed that BSNL lost some of their equipment and machinery in an accident while working on the ongoing OFC lines. However, the department is making all possible efforts to restore services at the earliest. Meanwhile, an alternative route has also been identified and work on it will commence shortly.
