DLSA Kargil observes World Health Day at District Court Complex Baroo

Kargil: District Legal Services Authority, Kargil in collaboration with Block Medical Officer Kargil observed World Health Day Monday at District Court Complex, Baroo.

On this occasion a Free Medical Camp was organized within the court premises and Splazes Angmo Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil also the Chairman, DLSA Kargil, inaugurated the medical camp, in presence of Wangial Tsering CJM Kargil, Chemit Yurgyal Secretary, DLSA Kargil, members of the BAR Kargil, Prosecuting Officers, Legal Aid Defense Counsels, members of the district court staff and general public.

The medical team consisted of Dr. Mohd. Ali Wazir, Dr. Urooj Khan and Dr. Shujat Ali along with Lab Assistants and Paramedic Staff.

The Medical Camp offered facilities for the following tests: CBC, Haemoglobin, Random blood Sugar, Hypertension, LFT and KFT, Urine Routine Test, Screening for oral cancer, Sputum test for TB/AFB, Breast Cancer screening, Dental Consultation, Vision test, Cataract screening, Uric Acid, Hbsag, Na, K, HbA1c.

In total around 120 people were examined, 110 samples were collected for various tests, 20 females were screened for breast cancer in which 3 were referred to District Hospital, around 70 people were examined for dental related problems and oral cancer screening, 34 people had taken their vision and cataract test.

DLSA Kargil is once again very thankful to Health Department Kargil specially Dr. Kacho Liaqat Ali Khan CMO Kargil and Dr. Abdul Jalil Wani BMO Kargil for providing the medical facilities.
