Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh Holds Meeting on Upcoming AIIMS Superspeciality Medical Camp

Leh: Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Shri Tsering Angchuk, convened a meeting today in the Conference Hall of the Council Secretariat regarding the upcoming “Superspeciality Medical Camp” from AIIMS, New Delhi, being facilitated in Ladakh by Asoka Mission.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Leh, Shri Sonam Nurboo; CPO Leh, Shri Tsewang Gailson; CMO Leh, Dr. Dolma Chuskit; I/C MS, Dr. Jigmet Wangchuk; Deputy Director, District Motor Garages (DMG) Leh, Shri Shahid Salim Banday; General Secretary, Asoka Mission, Shri Tashi Motup; and Senior Mechanic, Shri Ramzan Dim.
Discussions focused on the AIIMS doctors’ visit from 14th to 21st September 2025, with activities scheduled at SNM Hospital, Leh, from 14th to 18th September, and SDH, Nubra, from 19th to 20th September. A team of around 30 doctors representing nearly all major specialties will participate in the camp. Shri Tashi Motup, General Secretary Asoka Mission highlighted that the initiative will provide medical care to underprivileged communities and those with limited access to healthcare.
Hon’ble Deputy Chairman Shri Tsering Angchuk emphasized proper management of the visit, including vehicles for the doctors, accommodation, and other logistics at both Leh and Nubra, with special attention to first-time arrangements in certain areas. He was also apprised of the list of specialists expected to participate in the camp.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on ensuring seamless arrangements for the visiting AIIMS doctors, with Hon’ble Deputy Chairman Shri Tsering Angchuk assuring the Council’s full support for the successful conduct of the medical camp.
