Delegation of Ven Monks calls on LG Mishra

LEH: A delegation comprising of Ven Monks of Diskit Monastery, accompanied by the Dy. Chairperson LAHDC Leh called on the LG Brig (Dr) BD Mishra Thursday.

They requested for support in carrying out necessary renovation works at the monastery which is one of the major tourist attractions of Nubra valley.

They also apprised the Lt. Governor of the planned visit of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama to Nubra this summer.

The LG directed the Secy Tourism to visit the monastery to have a first-hand assessment of the requirements on the site.
