Leh: Senior IAS officer Ajeet Sahu on Thursday said that a ‘cybercriminal’ was using his mobile number to defraud colleagues and friends.
The officer took to Twitter to inform about the matter and said that he has already alerted police.

He said a cyber criminal was using mobile number 7016470075 and his picture to send messages to his colleagues and friends seeking financial help.
“Fraud Alert !! Someone is again using my fake identity and profile on #WhatsApp number 7016470075 asking gift card/money transfer etc. Please don’t fall prey of any such fraud and block the number and report as spam. I already alerted the police for action,” he said.

Ajeet kumar Sahu, IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir 2004 batch, he is presently posted as Commissioner Secretary to Administration of Ladakh.
It pertinent to mention here that earlier, IAS officers from Jammu and Kashmir including Shahid Choudhary also faced same issue.
