Councilor Baroo-Minjee distributes PA System, sports equipment in schools

Kargil: Councilor Baroo- Minjee Constituency, LAHDC, Kargil, Ghulam Mehdi Sheikh distributed Portable Public Address System and sports equipment in Higher Secondary, High and Middle Schools of the constituency as a part of improving necessary facilities in the schools for students at large.

These schools include Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Kargil, Govt. High School Minjee, Govt. High School Baroo, Govt. Girls Middle School Baroo, Govt. Model Middle School Titichumik, Govt. Middle School Minji Gund, Govt. Middle School Goma Minjee and Govt. Middle School Gramthang Minjee.

The Councilor personally visited each of these schools and handed over the equipment to the Headmasters. He took stock of academic activities, staff strength and infrastructural position of the schools so that these issues are taken up with the concerned authorities for timely redressal.

The Councilor provided these facilities from his constituency development allocation funds (CCDA). On the occasion, he said education has been the top priority during his tenure and significant steps have been taken to develop educational infrastructure in the constituency over the last five years.

He also praised the efforts of teachers for improving quality education in the schools and assured all possible support to these institutions in the future as well.

Pertinently, the Councilor has allocated a significant component of his CCDA fund for the development of schools in the constituency and these initiatives are widely admired by people.
