Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv Tashi Gyalson convenes a meeting today on Commercial Electric Vehicle (EV) scheme under LAHDC Leh’s subsidised scheme.
The objective is to encourage unemployed youths to take benefit from the scheme and also to promote the Prime Minister’s vision of transforming Ladakh into a Carbon Neutral region.
These EVs would be accessible for local commuters within the town, especially in locations where public transports are inaccessible as of now. The system would be purely app-based and would further open doors of employment for the youths. The Hill Council has a tie-up with J&K Bank in which the Council would provide adequate subsidy on these EVs for the beneficiaries whereas J&K Bank would provide an easy finance system.
Chief Controller of Finance, Jigmet Namgail, Dy Director DMG, Dr. Zulfikar Ali, officials of J&K Bank including Branch Head, J&K Bank Leh, Tsewang Dorjey accompanied by Tashi Wangchuk; Branch Manager, Tsewang Dorjey and Stanzin Toldan, Zonal Officer J&K Bank Leh attended the meeting.
