CEC Gyalson inaugurates newly constructed Astroturf Futsal Ground at Chumathang

Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson inaugurated the newly constructed Astroturf Futsal Ground at Government High School, Chumathang in the presence of Dy Chairman/EC Education, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk and venerable Rinpoche’s headed by H.E Khamtak Rinpoche Jigmet Tenzin Wangpo.

H.E Kunga Rinpoche; H.E Tulku Sangay Dorje; Councillor Kungyam; Thinles Nurboo; Chairman, Eicher Motors; Principal, Govt High School Chumathang and all the concerned departmental officers and concerned stakeholders including volunteers of SAVE Changthang were also present on the occasion.

CEC Gyalson congratulated the whole of Changthang for the establishment and inauguration of an Astroturf Futsal Ground in the region which has been envisioned considering the future of the children from Changthang.

He also highlighted the scenario of infrastructural development in Ladakh post UT creation and the underlying efforts to harness the sports talent from the nooks and corner of the region enabling their growth and further representation of UT Ladakh at national and international level bringing laurels.

CEC Gyalson also expressed gratitude to Royal Enfield (Eicher Motors) for their unwavering support and added that one day UT Ladakh students will make them proud from their support and encouragement.

Meanwhile, an exhibition futsal match as a part of the Changthang Football Initiative 2023 was also played, organised by SAVE Changthang and hosted by Chumathang High School and Village Education Committee Chumathang.

During the occasion, CEC Gyaslon in the presence of the dignitaries also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Rest House at Sabyal Thang Chumathang. The Solarized Staff Quarter constructed under SAMAGRA was also inaugurated by H’CEC and the dignitaries during their visit to Chumathang.
