CEC Gyalson for efficient execution of infrastructural, developmental works in Leh

LEH: To ensure major ongoing infrastructural and developmental works are executed efficiently, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson, conducted a meeting to review the progress of the works with the concerned district and sub-divisional officers.

CEC Gyalson directed the concerned departmental officers to ensure that project tenders are processed comprehensively to overcome unwarranted and avoidable delays in the efficient and timely execution of works.

He also directed Chief Engineer R&B to issue a circular notifying the departments to float tenders as per the rules and based on the finalised DPRs.

CEC Gyalson also directed the officers to ensure that desirable expenditure rates between 50-70% are achieved by the end of the December so that optimal financial progress is reflected towards the end of the financial year.

DC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve directed the officers to ensure that General Financial Rules (GFR) guidelines and norms are followed strictly.

It was also informed that the Contractors of ‘A’ and ‘B’ Class would be able to submit their work done bill to the concerned division through their own engineers.
