
CEC Feroz Khan flags off mobile medical unit van for CHC Zanskar
KARGIL: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan flagged off a mobile medical unit fully equipped van for CHC Zanskar from Council Secretariat.
The fully equipped ready-to-serve mobile medical unit van costing around Rs 65 lakh and funded under SDP was flagged off by the CEC in presence of Executive Councilor Tourism/RD and Zanskar Affairs, Er. Punchok Tashi and Executive Councilor Works, Mubarak Shah Naqvi and Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir.
Prior to the flag-off ceremony, CMO Kargil briefed about the multi-utility function of the mobile van which has been equipped with high-tech laboratory for testing, dental unit, tent camping, inverter power as well as genset and chairs to make it ready from all angles for medical camp in the periphery of the CHCs or in other remote villages.
EC Tashi expressed gratitude to Principal Secretary Health Department, UT Ladakh, and all others concerned for facilitating the multi-utility van for CHC Zanskar.
He advised BMO Zanskar and the driver to take utmost care of the high-tech van so that it could go a long way to facilitate the doctors in serving the needy patients of Zanskar.
