BJP remembers resonate Ambedkar’s legacy in Ladakh, pay tributes

BJP remembers resonate Ambedkar’s legacy in Ladakh, pay tributes

Leh: BJP Ladakh led by Phunchok Stanzin, President Ladakh, in presence of Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and others paid floral tributes on the portrait Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar at Leh.

Tashi Gyalson, CEC Leh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Former MP, Padma Shri Morup Namgyal were among the prominent who paid rich tributes to the Baba Saheb on the occasion. Gyal Wangyal, Vice President was the programme Incharge for the tributes programme.

P.T Kunzang State General Secretary, Nawang Samstan State Vice President, State General Secretary / Haj Committee Incharge Mohd Ali Majaz, Deputy Chairman Tsering Angchuk, District Leh President Stanzin Chospel, Nominated Councillor/ State Vice President Dr Yangchan Dolma, State Mahila Morcha President Rinchen Dolkar, State Yuva Morcha President Thinless Nurboo, State Kisan Morcha President Tsering Mutup, Program co Convenor Phuntsok Nurboo, State and Districts Awardees were among other prominent present.

Ashok Koul, while remembering the invaluable contributions of Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, said that he was far ahead of his time.

“We are deeply grateful for his efforts in eliminating social evils and emphasizing the importance of education,” he stated. Koul added that Dr. Ambedkar’s nationalist thinking and ideology remain highly relevant even today, and that following the path he laid out will lead to the upliftment of the nation and society as a whole.

He further noted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially recognized and acknowledged the monumental contributions of Dr. Ambedkar, especially under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In contrast, he pointed out that the Congress party had historically neglected Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy.

“Over time, the BJP has made consistent and sincere efforts to honour his work and take his vision to the grassroots, particularly for the benefit of the deprived and oppressed sections of society,” he said.

Koul emphasized that the true tribute to Baba Saheb on his birth anniversary would be to uphold and promote the spirit of Samrasta (social equality) and ensure justice for all.

Phunchok Stanzin said that Baba Sahib, was a prominent figure in India’s struggle for independence. He was a lawyer, economist, and social reformer. He said that Ambedkar ji always stood by the poor and downtrodden people and was a real social worker.

Tashi Gyalson said that Baba Sahib will remain as a source of inspiration to all of us for centuries and India can never forget his great contributions. He said that Baba Sahib was the chief architect of the Constitution of India, which is the best in the world.

Morup Namgyal shared his contentment on development of nation. He also retrospect the struggles made by Dr. Ambedkar despite huge discrimination.

Phuntsog Norbu and Abass Abidi talked about the roles of Dr. Ambedkar in the reshaping society of India along with the creation of the constitution of India.

PT Kunzang and Gyal P Wangyal talked about Dr Bim Rao Ramji Ambedkar life and historical landmark contributions and carried the pledge of Indian Preamble.

Himalayan Cranes Dance Institute presented a dance performance with the kaleidoscopic of classical music and modern music with mixtures of Ladakhi, Hindi and English. Vote of thanks was given by Rinchen Dolkar.
