Leh: In a major crackdown on traffic violations, District Police Leh booked 105 offenders during a two-day special drive conducted on July 25 and 26 across Leh city. Police teams inspected over 300 vehicles at various checkpoints. Of the total, 46 drivers were booked for drunk driving, while 54 others were penalised for violations under the Motor Vehicles Act. The District Police has urged both locals and tourists to follow traffic rules, avoid drinking and driving, and cooperate with enforcement agencies to ensure public safety. “Your safety is our priority—Don’t drink and drive.” – District Police Leh.
