Vibrant Villages Crucial for Viksit Bharat Vision, Says Bhanu Prabha During Youth Interaction in Choglamsar
Leh, June 6: Administrative Secretary, Higher Education, UT Ladakh, Bhanu Prabha, on Friday interacted with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme at the 5th Battalion ITBP Campus in Choglamsar, emphasizing the importance of empowering border communities and sensitising youth to the realities of life in frontier regions.
The programme brought together young participants from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, who are set to undertake an exposure visit to seven border villages in Ladakh as part of the initiative aimed at promoting national integration and awareness about remote border areas.
The event commenced with an opening address by Deputy Director, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Ladakh, Khushal Gupta, who briefed participants about the objectives of the programme and the planned visits to villages located in border areas of Ladakh.
Welcoming the Administrative Secretary, State Director, MY Bharat, Tajamul Ara, expressed appreciation for her participation and interaction with the youth delegates.
Addressing the gathering, Bhanu Prabha highlighted Ladakh’s unique geographical, cultural and socio-economic characteristics, describing the Union Territory as an important part of India’s frontier landscape. She spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 and underlined the role of the Vibrant Villages Programme in strengthening border communities and improving the quality of life in remote regions.
She stressed that such exposure visits provide valuable opportunities for young people to understand the challenges faced by residents of border villages and appreciate their contribution to national development and security.
Bhanu Prabha also emphasized the importance of engaging youth in nation-building initiatives and encouraging them to develop a deeper understanding of India’s diverse social and geographical realities.
The programme concluded with an interactive session during which participants shared their views, experiences and expectations regarding the upcoming village visits. The Administrative Secretary responded to their queries and encouraged them to make the most of the learning opportunity.
As a token of appreciation, State Director, MY Bharat, Tajamul Ara, presented a memento to Bhanu Prabha for her participation and valuable interaction with the youth delegates.
The initiative is aimed at fostering greater awareness about border regions while strengthening the connection between young citizens and the country’s frontier communities.
