Admn orders reshuffle of District Officers in Ladakh ahead of Lok Sabha polls

LEH: The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh on Monday undertook a significant reshuffle of District Officers in Kargil and Leh ahead of the General Elections to the House of People (Lok Sabha), 2024.

This move comes in line with the guidelines provided by the Election Commission of India, as per Letter No. 437/6/1/INST/ECI/FUNCT/MCC/2023 dated 21-12-2023, in anticipation of the forthcoming General Elections to the Lok Sabha, 2024. Various transfers and postings have been ordered with immediate effect in this regard.

Ghulam Mohd, JKAS, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACL), Kargil, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Leh. This move relieves the Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Election, Ladakh, of the additional charge of the post.

Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Wani, JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil, will now serve as General Manager, DIC, Leh, with the additional responsibility of District Programme Officer, ICDS, Leh.

Suhail Ahmed, JKAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khaltsi, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil.

Kaneez Fatima, Jr. JKAS, Tehsildar, Khalsti, will take on the additional charge of SDM, Khalsti, alongside her existing duties until further notice.

Padma Angmo, JKAS, District Panchayat Officer (DPO), Kargil, is now appointed as Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kargil. She will also continue to hold the additional charge of DSWO, Kargil.

Rehamtullah Bhat, Jr. JKAS, Functional Manager, DIC, Kargil, is assigned the additional responsibility of District Panchayat Officer (DPO), Kargil, alongside his current duties until further orders.

A. G. Zargar, JKAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Shakar Chiktan, Kargil, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Leh. This action relieves Sh. lnzar Rana, Jr. JKAS, ARTO, Leh, of the additional charge of the post.

Sanjat Bhardwaj, Jr. JKAS, Tehsildar, Shakar Chiktan, will take on the additional responsibility of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Shakar Chiktan, alongside his current duties until further orders.

Gurmet Namgial, who was serving as the look after Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Kharu, Leh, is transferred and posted as the look after Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sankoo, Kargil.

Sonam Dorjey, Tehsildar of Kharu, will take on the additional charge of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Kharu, alongside his current duties until further orders.

Junaid Amin Bhat, Jr. JKAS, District Panchayat Officer (DPO), Leh, will hold the additional charge of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh, alongside his existing duties until further orders.

Kacho Ali Asgar Khan, Tehsildar of Nyoma, is assigned the additional responsibility of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Nyoma, alongside his current duties until further orders.

Mohd Sharief, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Kargil, will hold the additional charge of Deputy District Election Officer, Kargil, alongside his current duties until further orders.

All the aforementioned officers are deemed to have been relieved of their previous responsibilities with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, In Police Department, in the interest the administration, the transfers and postings of following Dy SsP are hereby ordered with immediate effect;

Mohd Hussain-JKPS, Dy SP Hqrs. District Leh is transferred and posted as Dy SP CID Kargil.

Manzoor Ahmad-JKPS Dy SP (Personnel) PHQ UT-Ladakh shall also look after the works of Dy SP Hqrs. District Leh in addition to his own assignments till further orders.

Gulzar Rashid Margay-JKPS, Dy SP Security/CIV/Crime PHQ UT-Ladakh is transferred and posted as Dy SP DAR, DPL Leh.

And Sonam Wangchuk Dy SP DAR, DPL, Leh is transferred and posted as Dy SP HG/CD/SDRF Kargil. He shall also look after the works of Dy SP Traffic Kargil in addition to his own assignments.
