This three day conference has been inaugurated by Tsering Angchuk, Deputy Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, P. Stobdan, former Ambassador, Prof. Baidyanath Labh,Vice Chancellor,Central Institute of Buddhist Studies.
Prominent among others who were present include P D Nitya, SSP Leh, Ven. Sanghasena, Ven.Tserlng Dorjey, Ven Stanzin Wantak, Prof.Ambalicka Sood Jacob, Dr. Lalit Gupta, Dr. Rahul Mishra and Dr. Suresh Kumar.

A total of 95 research papers shall be presented by the subject experts on different aspects of Buddhism including History and Cultural Heritage of Buddhism in Ladakh in this three days long conference and a total of 130 researchers will be attending this conference hailing from different universities of the country.
