Leh: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh Adv. Tashi Gyalson had a meeting with Brigadier KS Kalsi, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Srinagar and Lt Col V A S Johar, SM, Commanding Officer, 1 Ladakh Battalion NCC, Leh today. The officials discussed plans for the upcoming camp of NCC Cadets starting from 1st Aug to 16th Aug 2022 in New Delhi in view of the upcoming Independence Day celebration.
With the participation of 2 cadets, each from a total of 17 Directorates of NCC would participate in the NCC camp this year. Around 20 cadets from UT of Ladakh would participate in the camp and would further participate in a map formation showcasing Ladakh’s traditional and cultural identity.
“The maximum number of cadets participanting would be from Ladakh, thus reflects the special love and attention Hon’ble Prime Minister has towards the people of Ladakh” stated CEC Tashi Gyalson.
The officials later also discussed various other concerns with regards to the strengthening of NCC camps and training of cadets in the region.
