Leh: The Sheep Husbandry Department, Leh conducted a valedictory function for the Stock Assistant trainees (2021-22) of the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department today. Leh: Ladakh reported three fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the overall virus tally to 28,205, officials said on Monday. Ten patients recovered from the disease, taking the overall recoveries to 27,944, they said. According to the officials, no Covid-related death was reported in the region, which has so far recorded 228 fatalities. Of the total fatalities, Leh district recorded the highest 168 deaths followed by 60 in Kargil, they said. Leh, at present, has 22,930 cases and Kargil 5,275 cases. Leh: Chairman, UT Level Special Task Force (STF), Umang Narula convened a meeting to discuss the action plan for the elimination of Single-Use Plastic (SUP) in Ladakh. As per the directions given by the Chairman in the earlier meeting of the Task Force, State and District level task forces have been constituted to tackle plastic-related challenges. In order to phase out single-use plastic, identification of major stockists, retailers, sellers of banned SUP is being carried out by both the District Magistrates. New Delhi: A visit to India by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi later this month could be on the cards but there is no finality on it yet, people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday. There is no official word by the Ministry of External Affairs or the Chinese government on the possible visit.
