Choglamsar, November 24: As part of the ongoing “Mimang-Si-sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, a major public outreach camp was organised today at Choglamsar Village, led by Sonam Nurboo (JKAS), Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, who served as the programme’s Nodal Officer. The camp saw active participation from multiple government departments, each engaging with residents on schemes, services, and ongoing development projects.
A wide array of on-spot services was delivered during the camp. Officials facilitated the updation of 37 Aadhaar cards, issued ration card services including member addition (3 cases), transfer (1 case) and one new ration card. The Health Department conducted NCD screenings for around 30 individuals, issued 4 ABHA IDs, 2 Golden Cards, 3 Aadhaar cards for children (0–5 years), and 2 PMMVY cards.
Several departments also briefed the public on their flagship schemes. The ADDC informed residents about SITCO’s financial assistance programmes. The Agriculture Department shared details on irrigation subsidies and greenhouse support, while the Horticulture Department highlighted schemes for Orchard Development and Solar Crop Dryer subsidies. The Animal Husbandry Department conducted awareness on cattle improvement, feed subsidies, dairy development, and livestock diseases such as brucellosis, alongside promoting scientific breeding practices.
The Education Department encouraged parents to consider government school enrolments and outlined opportunities under PM SHRI Schools. The PHE Department briefed villagers on drinking water testing kits, made available through collaboration with ICDS workers.
The Social Welfare Department highlighted the services of the One Stop Centre, which offers immediate support to women facing domestic violence, including emergency assistance through 112 and access to safe shelter facilities.
Representing the Crisil Foundation, Kifayat Hussain informed participants about unclaimed deposits under the RBI’s DEA Fund campaign—“Apki Punji Aapka Adhikar – Your Money Your Right”. He also explained the Re-KYC process and key social security schemes such as PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, and SSY.
During an interactive session, residents raised several local concerns, which were formally noted by the Nodal Officer for follow-up action. ADDC Sonam Nurboo thanked the public for their active participation and assured that all major issues flagged during the camp would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely redressal.
