Calls upon students to carry message of patriotism, unity and respect for Tricolour
Leh, Aug 14: Chief Secretary, UT Ladakh, Ashish Kundra on Thursday underscored the role of educational institutions in nurturing patriotism and civic responsibility among young citizens as the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was organised at Government Model School, Ibex Colony, Leh.
The patriotic programme, organised by the Home Department, UT Ladakh, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, senior officials and ex-servicemen and culminated in a spirited Tiranga rally.
Addressing the gathering, Kundra highlighted the significance of the nationwide campaign and said such initiatives provide students an opportunity to understand the importance of the National Flag and the values it represents.
He said educational institutions have an important responsibility in strengthening among students a sense of national pride, unity and responsibility towards the country.
The Chief Secretary appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and teachers and encouraged them to carry the message of patriotism, national unity and respect for the Tricolour beyond the programme and into the wider community.
The event featured patriotic songs and colourful cultural performances by students, reflecting their enthusiasm and respect for the nation and its national symbols.
The programme culminated with a Har Ghar Tiranga rally, during which students and other participants carried the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans, creating an atmosphere charged with national pride.
Administrative Secretary, School Education Department, Bhanu Prabha; Special Secretary, Home Department, Tashi Dolma; Director School Education Tsering Paldan; Chief Education Officer; Zonal Education Officer; Director Sainik Welfare; President, Ex-Servicemen Association; school principal, teachers and students from various schools attended the programme.
The event reaffirmed the commitment of students, teachers and officials to promoting national unity, patriotism and respect for the Tricolour.
